In this book there is a print of this work as an example, and I tried to recreate it myself by looking at it. If you compare the two, mine is a sad copy. But as with all reproduction attempts, I learned something. His style is so loose and at the same time focused on the essential qualities that define the image so that the eye reassembles reality with the bare minimum of suggested details. So elegant! I hope I can paint as well as Mr. Schmid one day.
