Epson has an incredibly dishonest, wasteful and immoral practice of lying about the cartridges being empty even if there is still ink inside. This is done via chip by counting pages printed and when you reach X number of pages, no matters how much ink you might have left, it will tell you it is empty. Same happens if you refill the cartridge manually with generic ink, it won't let you print and keep lying that the cartridge is empty. If you replace the Epson cartridge chip with the Auto Reset Chip, this nonsense stops and you can refill your cartridge as many times as you want. The Auto Reset Chip has an auto reset mechanism for the page counting function.
