The Fritz Box 6490 from AVM is a cable modem – router with support for IPv6 – based connections. Due to the dual-band WLAN transmission in the IEEE 802.11ac standard, high data rates of up to 1300 Mbit per second are possible even in more frequented environments. Thanks to the numerous connection options, two analogue or digital telephone and fax machines without VoIP function can be used on one cable connection. The integrated four Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and the USB 2.0 host ensure performance in the home network and, together with the "Fritz Media Server", form the basis for DLNA-certified network storage. In addition, the Fritz Box 6490 has a built-in DECT base station. The device has the dimensions 226 x 160 x 47 mm. The box can also be used for table or wall mounting.
