The chair misses the side protection on its right side. Because of this, it should only be mounted on the left rear seat but not on the right rear seat. The side protection is removable to give more space to the neighbour seat.

The covers are just machine-washed. I added pictures of the seat without the covers to prove that the styro parts do not have any cracks. We have never been in car accidents.
