Review:

I ordered the Morandi Green Explorer backpack and have been using it for the last 2 days. Here are my thoughts.

The website says 'Fit's 15" laptops.' This is definitely true, but it also fits 17" laptops. My work laptop is 15 and my personal is 17. The 15" fits perfectly. The 17" also fits very well in the pocket. The only constraint is that the elastic/velcro strap is super tight around the larger laptop, but still closes. Additionally, the 17' laptop fits (tightly) in the side-zip pocket.

The pass-through strap is great (I traveled this week). The bag itself looks great. There is ample interior space and a bunch of pockets. It is very comfortable to wear and the straps and back-padding are pretty breathable.

Issues/Concerns(In order of 'concern'):

The flip-top latch. I really like it, but I am concerned about how well it will function 6 months or a year from now. The spring isn't very snappy. it works fine but if the spring gets any less snappy in the future, it seems like it wouldn't securely latch. Additionally, if the bag is full, it becomes very difficult to latch. This morning I had my laptop, and the equivalent of 2 textbooks in the bag. I laid an empty Nalgene bottle down on top of the books. The bag was by no means full, but the latch became almost impossible to latch since it relies on a flat surface/the fold. Kind of annoying.

Also related to the fliptop.... The crease for the flip runs right across the zipper. The zipper hangs up here about 2/3rds of the time. Also annoying

The waterproof pouch. While I do like the idea of a vented, waterproof pouch, it's actual location is not ideal. As stated, I had a laptop and 2 books in my bag. Because of the design, this makes the pouch basically un-useable. The bag is only 4-5" deep. a half inch laptop and 2, 1-1.5" textbooks eats up most of this space. The waterproof area isn't additional, it's integrated. That makes the design look sleek but also means that if you have anything actually in your bag, the space in that large pouch is basically nonexistent. The only way around this would be to load the waterproof pouch FIRST and then whatever you put in the main body of the bag will sit on top of it.

Overall, I really do like the bag and am very happy with my purchase. If my complaints seem harsh, it's only because other than those 3 items, this bag is perfect. At the end of the day, I'd give it an 8.5 or 9.0 out of 10. I'm not sure that I've ever owned a bag that I'd rate higher than a 7.0. So good job OnePlus.
