Blosta Harituspihdit / Saw Set

In excellent condition, no signs of wear. This is an adjustable 'saw set', used to adjust the teeth to the correct angle to set the kerf so the saw plate will not bind in the cut. There are other common types such as the Eclipse 77 and copies of that type, but this one will handle both the smaller teeth on crosscut panel saws as well as very large teeth common on vintage ripcut handsaws. It was designed for Sandvik saws, but can set teeth up to 7mm in length, so it will find a place in a toolbox if you're using 20-28" handsaws with coarse pattern teeth.

It is NOT suitable for finer saws, those with more than 8 teeth per inch. Those using a full set of traditional handsaws will typically use one of each type to cover their requirements. These were once a very common tool and while they can still be found in old toolboxes, chests and cabinets, this is probably the best condition you'll find.
