Tadelakt is a Moroccan plastering method that is around 2000 years old and has been used to coat walls, floors and many other surfaces and objects. It involves a special lime mixture that is rubbed with a small stone to create a shiny and waterproof surface. The technique is demanding and requires real craftsmanship. The end result is stunning. Tadelakt is like a natural and more vibrant version of modern microcement.
