Ukraine 50 Karbovantsiv 1918 undated

A piece of Ukrainian history from 1918.

On September 20, 1918, the Central Rada issued denominations of 5, 10, 25, and 50 karbovanets, to be valid until March 1, 1924.

One the front there is a profile portrait of a couple in red against a muted with green background and black script signature titles: Lebid'-Yurchik (Direktor Derzhavnoï Skarbnitsi)

On the reverse we see a man with a spade and woman with a sheaf as well as the symbol of the Ukrainian trident (Tryzub) in shades of green.

Framed in a white 4" x 6" x 1.25" lacquer display.
