Per "Texas" Johansson (b. in Södertäl-

je in 1969) is a Swedish jazz musician

(woodwind instruments).

Per "Texas" Johansson worked around

1990 with Thore Swanerud, Gugge Hed-

renius, in the 1990s in the Stockholm

Jazz Orchestra and Lina Nyberg. In 1997

he recorded his debut album with Fredrik

Ljungkvist, Dan Berglund and Mickel Ulf-

berg (EMI/Kaza). In the 2000s he also

played with Atomic, Goran Kajfeš, Peter

Asplund, Dicken Hedrenius, the Bo Kas-

pers Orkester and with Torbjörn Zetter-

berg. He also worked with his own bands

which made up musicians such as Paal

Nilssen-Love and Johan Lindströmemer-

ged. In the field of jazz he was involved

in 21 recording sessions between 1987

and 2007. For his album Alla Mina Kom-

pisar he received the Gyllene Skivan in

1998, he received another Gyllene Skiv-

an in 2015 for De långa rulltrapporna i

Flemingsberg.
